The following section contains answers to frequently asked questions for firms wishing to partner with Estey-Hoover. If you require more information, please feel free to contact us.

  • What are you looking for in an acquisition?

  • Our preferred acquisition targets are firms with revenue between $500k to $2mm and priced between $500k to $1mm. We are particularly interested in firms that have been in business for longer than 10 years. We are open to ownership participation after acquisition. We do not have a specific PR requirement.

  • What happens after the acquisition?

  • Initially, we invest in learning everything we can about a company’s operations and capabilities. We work with existing management to maintain current clients. We also partner with management to develop a strategic agenda for serving new growth opportunities. From the moment we acquire a firm, all efforts are geared toward leveraging their skills and increasing the growth potential of the firm.

  • How long does the process take?

  • Our efficient acquisition process is conducted mostly in-house by our own team members rather than outside consultant companies. This allows us to complete the acquisition from start to finish in the span of four to eight weeks.

  • How long do you maintain ownership?

  • Permanently. We believe in assembling a strong team that is dedicated to success. We acquire firms in order to help our team grow over the long term.

  • Will the firm’s name be retained?

  • Yes. Part of the value of an acquisition is the long history and brand recognition brought by its name. In most cases, we will continue to use the firm’s name while maintaining the independence of the firm.

  • Will departments be outsourced or closed?

  • No. Our focus is to maintain the independence of the companies that we invest in. We believe that maintaining the cohesion of a firm is an important part of its growth potential.

  • Are you pursuing a PR consolidation strategy?

  • No. Our intention is to acquire select PR firms that offer specific service expertise and have established relationships with the Media that will assist us in providing a full array of PR services to our clients.
